It is with dismay that again we read of the "Disgruntled Pediatrician Syndrome" (Pediatrics 32:465, 1963). Lest possible future pediatricians be negatively influenced by such commentary let me add a voice of encouragement.
A pediatrician is a physician first, foremost, and always. He should never be a technician or scientist studying the young human organism. A physician is a scientist, humanitarian, teacher, counselor, and community leader.
