VIRILIZATION ACCOMPANYING HEPATOBLASTOMA

A case of hepatoblastoma associated with virilization in a 3-year-old boy is presented. Three additional cases culled from the literature are discussed to point out the striking similarities in this group. Their distinctive character allows differentiation of this disease from other causes of isosexual precocity in the male child. Interesting findings in the pituitary glands of two of the children raise questions as to the nature of the gonadotropin involved in the virilization process.
