Three cases of incontinentia pigmenti occurring in one family (mother and two daughters) have been reported. Photographs of the various stages of the cutaneous manifestations of this disease have been included. No other congenital abnormalities were found. A striking histologic feature in the biopsies of the three cases was the presence of dyskeratotic cells in the stratum corneum; more in the late pigmentary stage, less in the early vesiculo-bullous stage.
