MENINGOCOCCEMIA WITH MENINGITIS ACCOMPANIED BY BILATERAL GANGRENE OF THE LOWER EXTREMITIES (WATERHOUSE-FRIDERICHSEN SYNDROME)

A case of meningococcemia with meningococcal meningitis, complicated by gangrene of the lower extremities, is reported. Amputation of the lower third of both legs was performed. The patient is living and in good health.
