Year Books, "Current Progress" collections, journals of abstracts, and the like, are becoming an increasing element in postgraduate medical education. They take several forms, from the attempt to provide complete and objective coverage of world medical literature on both sides of all curtains, to the assignment of certain topics of special current interest to qualified experts for critical review. In the middle of this spectrum as regards design, but well toward the lead in quality of the product, are the excellently edited Year Books of Pediatrics.
