Pediatric Conference

The sixth annual pediatric conference, sponsored by the Raymond Blank Memorial Hospital, will be held in Des Moines, Iowa, on April 13 and 14, 1962. Guest speakers will include Robert A. Aldrich, M.D., Professor of Pediatrics and Chairman of the Department, University of Washington, Seattle, Washington, who will give the Sixth Annual Lee Forrest Hill Lectureship, on the biological effects of bilirubin, and a presentation on the differential diagnosis of collagen diseases in children; John D. Crawford, M.D., Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Harvard University, Boston, Massachusetts, who will speak on disturbances of growth in children, and on why we succeed—homeostatic mechanisms; Robert B. Lawson, M.D., Professor of Pediatrics and Chairman of the Department, University of Miami Medical School, Miami, Florida, who will discuss problems of unexplained fever, and problems of over-treatment in pediatrics; and Irving Schulman, M.D., Professor of Pediatrics and Chairman of the Department, University of Illinois, Chicago, Illinois, who will discuss the detection and significance of hemorrhagic disease in children, and drug-induced aplastic anemia.
