Ciba Foundation Study Group. No. 1. Pain and Itch

Pain and Itch is a booklet which constitutes the proceedings of a Ciba Foundation conference on the nervous mechanisms of pain and itch. This publication is described as experimental but the reviewer hopes that this experiment will be continued and become regular practice. The very prompt printing following the conference is commendable.

The meeting was opened with introductory remarks by Lord Adrian who pointed out that pain was a central and crucial point in medicine but that not much was known about its mechanism.
