A case of cutaneous granuloma with purulent regional lymphadenitis is described in a 3-year-old male. N. asteroides was isolated from the lesions. The patient was successfully treated with sodium sulfadiazine. This represents a rather unusual infection with only 11 reported cases in the pediatric age group, none of the patients presenting a cutaneous lesion. A short résumé of the case and clinical features of the disease are discussed.
