IDIOPATHIC HYPERCALCEMIA

Treatment with Sodium Sulfate

A case of idiopathic hypercalcemia with failure to thrive is described. A new form of diet employing milk treated with sodium sulfate was tried and proved effective.

Mechanism of action of sodium sulfate in lowering the absorption of calcium from the intestine is discussed.
