The Lung as a Mirror of Systemic Disease

PAUL M. SEEBOHM M.D.

The major portion of this text describes the pulmonary manifestations of systemic diseases as observed by roentgenogram. In addition there are complete but brief descriptions of the systemic characteristics of the diseases discussed. Attention is drawn to the nonspecificity of abnormalities in the roentgenograms, and the necessity of correlating these with other clinical evidence, especially the history, is emphasized. As one reads the book he suspects the author has had the experience of being requested to evaluate roentgenograms of the chest before the patients had a history taken and a physical examination performed.
