NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

Conference on Rheumatic Fever

A conference on The Rheumatic Child and His World was held under the auspices of Irvington House, Irvington-on-Hudson, New York, on November 13, 1956. Principal addresses were delivered by Dr. Lewis Thomas and Dr. Iago Galdston (see this issue of PEDIATRICS). Two panel discussions comprised the remainder of the program: "Integrated Care for the Child in the Institution," and "in the Community."

In the panel on institutional care, moderated by Dr. Howard Reid Craig, Director of the New York Academy of Medicine, the medical, nursing, social service, recreational, teaching and administrative staff of Irvington House presented an unrehearsed "integration conference."
