The new edition is similar to previous editions in providing a ready source of reference concerning a wide range of illnesses. The organization is along customary lines: infectious diseases, allergy, collagen diseases, diseases due to physical and chemical agents, deficiency diseases, diseases of metabolism and diseases of the various systems. The references listed at the end of each topic are well chosen and emphasize the more recent contributions. The index is complete, the format pleasing, figures of satisfactory clarity and the few colored reproductions excellent.
