A case of neonatal hypoglycemia of 23
months' duration associated with recurrent convulsions has been presented.
The case best fits the classification of "idiopathic spontaneous hypoglycemia in infants."
Dietary management was partially successful for a period of 2
months.
The therapeutic effects of administration of glucagon, cortisone and ACTH were studied. Only the administration of cortisone and ACTH permitted control of the hypoglycemic state.
