A Ciba Foundation Symposium on the Kidney

This book presents a verbatim account of the proceedings of an international symposium on The Kidney held in London in 1953. The broad categories included deal with structural and functional relationships in the kidney, tubular functions, general problems in electrolyte excretion, and with the renal share in volume control of body fluids. The participants were chosen from the ranks of the leading investigators in their fields and discussions following the papers tend to be brisk and spontaneous, often providing eloquent criticism of the work presented.
