Standard Values in Nutrition and Metabolism

This volume, compiled and reviewed by numerous researchers in fields of plant and animal biology, is the second fascicle of a larger undertaking which aims at the compilation and publication of the more basic established data in the various fields of biological sciences. The material is mainly of a quantitative nature, consisting of tables, diagrams and an extensive bibliography. Controversial and unconfirmed data have been largely excluded.

The included material has apparently not been selected with any particular medical orientation and certainly there is no emphasis on data relating to the infant and child.
