GIANT CELL PNEUMONIA WITH INCLUSIONS

RUSSELL W. WELLER M.D.1

1 The Departments of Pathology of the Philadelphia Hospital for Contagious Diseases and the Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital, Philadelphia.

A case of giant cell pneumonia with inclusions is reported. Intracytoplasmic and intranuclear inclusions are present. Exhaustive search reveals no inclusions in viscera other than the lungs. The pulmonary cytologic picture is similar to that seen in canine distemper.
