Recognizing that concern about discipline is ever-present in the minds of many parents, the authors of this book made a questionnaire-survey of over 6000 families, and from them culled many vignettes of child behavior which called forth different kinds of discipline.
Excerpts from the replies of parents and children make up a large part of the book; these are accompanied by brief discussions. From them one learns what parents and children today consider worthy of discipline, and the form it takes.
