INGESTION OF MERCURY AS A PROBABLE CAUSE OF ACRODYNIA AND ITS TREATMENT WITH DIMERCAPROL (BAL): REPORT OF TWO CASES

Two infants who received mercurous chloride (calomel) in teething powders developed typical acrodynia. Dramatic resolution of symptoms followed treatment with dimercaprol (BAL). Cause and effect relationship deserve further study.
