Child Health

HUGH MCCULLOCH

A series of 22 articles by individual authors, dealing with the major problems of ill health in childhood from the more positive attitude of the maintenance of health and describing the numerous health services available for the care of children. Most of the articles had been published previously. The editorial preface outlines the philosophy of the book as follows: "Preventive medicine as applied to children includes not only measures adopted for the protection of the completely healthy child (as in diphtheria prophylaxis) but also the important task of preventing minor maladies from becoming major illnesses.
